Dr. Li Erran Li is the head of machine learning at Scale AI and an adjunct professor at Columbia University. Previously, he was chief scientist at Pony.ai. Before that, he was with the perception team at Uber ATG and machine learning platform team at Uber where he worked on deep learning for autonomous driving, led the machine learning platform team technically, and drove strategy for company-wide artificial intelligence initiatives. He started his career at Bell Labs. His current research interests are machine learning, computer vision, learning-based robotics, and their application to autonomous driving. He has a PhD from the computer science department at Cornell University. He’s an IEEE Fellow and an ACM Fellow.
He is the chief scientist for 3D vision at Baidu. He is also a full professor at the University of Kentucky (on leave). His research interests include 3D computer vision and 3D computer graphics, in particular 3D modeling and 3D data analysis. He has published over 100 papers with an H-index of 48. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE T-PAMI He has been a program co-chair for 3DIMPVT (now 3DV) 2011 and WACV 2014, and he has been ACs for both ICCV and CVPR multiple times. He most recently organized a workshop on 3D sensing and understanding with both audio and video at ICCV 2015.
Dr. Dragomir Anguelov is a principal scientist at Waymo. He earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University. Before Waymo, he was at Zoox from 2015 to 2018 and Google from 2007 to 2015. His expertise is in machine learning, with applications to computer vision, robotics and computer graphics. Emphasis on image understanding (object detection and classification), 3D perception (3D reconstruction, 3D object pose/shape estimation and tracking) and SLAM (mapping, localization, sensor calibration). Hands on experience with image, lidar, radar, IMU, wheel odometry and GPS data.
Prof. Silvio Savarese is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University and director of the SAIL-Toyota Center for AI Research at Stanford. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2005 and was a Beckman Institute Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2005–2008. He joined Stanford in 2013 after being Assistant and then Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, from 2008 to 2013. His research interests include computer vision, robotic perception and machine learning. He is recipient of several awards including a Best Student Paper Award at CVPR 2016, the James R. Croes Medal in 2013, a TRW Automotive Endowed Research Award in 2012, an NSF Career Award in 2011 and Google Research Award in 2010. In 2002 he was awarded the Walker von Brimer Award for outstanding research initiative.

He obtained his M.S. degree in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, autonomous driving, robotics, and computer graphics. He has published papers in ECCV, AAAI, ACCV, etc.
